PAVEMENT DESIGN PROJECTS

DKS was involved in the design and documentation for the pavement rehabilitation of kilometres of roadwork’s along Mt Lindesay Arterial Road for sections between Granard Road and Compton Road for the Queensland Department of Main Roads.

The rehabilitation involved bitumen resealing and asphalt overlay, site inspection to determine items that were not in accordance with the latest Department of Main Roads Standards. Items included guardrail, signage and other safety items. Pavement defects were also recorded to allow for an accurate estimate of pavement repairs.

The preparation of detailed engineering drawings, including layout plans showing pavement rehabilitation treatments, guardrail works, locations of damaged kerb and other defects that needed to be rectified to reflect current design standards were also completed. Typical sections, and connection details were also developed to suit the requirements of this job.
